Preparation of Presentations and Biographies

  1. You are free to use one of the templates linked below. This is not a requirement, and you may choose to use your own template if desired.
  2. Avoid commercialization and instead focus on technical background, methods, key results and conclusions.
  3. Prepare your presentations so you can cover the material in 12 minutes with an additional 3 minutes for the intro and questions.
    • Presentations should be in .ppt, .pptx or .pdf format.
    • Use the following file naming convention for presentations:
      • paper#-session#-shorttitle.ppt
      • example: 214-E03-BoilingFilm.pptx
      • example: 54-TII10-ImmersionServer.pdf
  4. Prepare a short biography for the session chair to introduce the presenter. Bio must not exceed 30 seconds. This is usually 1-3 sentences.
    • Bios should be in .doc, .docx, .txt or .pdf format.
  5. Use the following file naming convention for bios:
    • paper#-session#-presentername.txt
    • example: 214-E03-SteveSmith.docx
    • example: 54-TII10-JaneDoe.pdf
